Armed Forces Of Ukraine Beating Enemy In Kherson Region

Here are the details of the counteroffensive, video and map of the hostilities.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are developing a counteroffensive in the Kherson region. Under the blows of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian army left dozens of settlements. Military experts do not rule out that the Ukrainian military may repeat the successes of the recent counter-offensive in the Kharkiv line, and make predictions about the liberation of Kherson.

TSN.ua collected details of the fighting in southern Ukraine.

The Pivden Operational Command said that in recent days, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have de-occupied seven settlements in the Kherson region. In total, more than fifty settlements have already been liberated from the invaders in the region.

The Pivden Operational Command reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to be active and keep the initiative.

"The aviation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine inflicted seven strikes on the enemy. Rocket and artillery subunits completed more than 340 fire missions. Destroyed 40 Russian servicemen, two tanks, seven vehicles and armored vehicles," the Pivden OC reports.

Also, over the past day, the air defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down a Ka-52 attack helicopter in the Beryslav district of the Kherson region.

On October 2, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the de-occupation of the villages of Myrolyubivka and Arkhanhelske. According to the president, his countrymen from Kryvyi Rih, the military of the 129th Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, contributed to the success.

On October 2, it became known that as a result of the successful actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the village of Zolota Balka in the north of the region was liberated.

Also, a video appeared on the network, in which the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine installed the flag of Ukraine on a watermelon monument near the regional center of Novovorontsovka.

Experts from the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) have published an up-to-date map of hostilities in southern Ukraine.

When the Armed Forces of Ukraine can release Kherson

Advisor to the President's Office Oleksiy Arestovich predicts that the position of the occupiers may soon worsen even more.

"Evil Russian tongues shouted that some kind of trouble was happening to them in the Kherson region ... There is a problem that can become a disaster, a catastrophe," Arestovich said.

Arestovich added that several strikes were inflicted on the areas of accumulation of Russian manpower and their warehouses in Kherson and Nova Kakhovka.

Military expert Oleh Zhdanov predicts that the counter-offensive in the south could take on the same scale that was observed in the Kharkiv region.

According to him, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Kherson frontline continue to inflict fire damage on the enemy grouping.

"As far as I understand, a decision was made to destroy it gradually, bringing it to a state of incapacity, not to risk our people and not to storm the positions of Russian troops in frontal attacks," he said.

Zhdanov stressed that aircraft and artillery are primarily used to attack the enemy, but in the future, the counterattack actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine can acquire the same scope as they did in the Slobozhany line, when everything started with a counterattack and ended with the liberation of most of the occupied territory of the Kharkiv region.

Earlier, French General Dominique Trincan suggested that in the autumn Ukrainian troops could recapture the entire right bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region, including the regional center.

“The Russians seem surprised by the methods used against them by the Ukrainian army. The destruction of ammunition depots and logistics hubs, including railways, significantly destabilized them. Today, if the forces located west of the Dnieper no longer receive shells, they will no longer be able to defend themselves. If they don't get more supplies, it will be dramatic for some units. I think that before winter, the Ukrainians could capture the entire right bank of the Dnieper, including the city of Kherson," he said.

How the occupiers react to the threat

The occupying authorities in the Kherson region are confused because of the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"They do not quite understand what this referendum gives them. They simply followed the instructions from above, but they see that this does not stop the Defense Forces, does not stop the significantly advancing units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson line," said Natalya Humenyuk, a representative of the press center of the Defense Forces of southern Ukraine.

According to Humenyuk, Russian troops in this sector of the front cannot bring up reserves and strengthen their grouping, since the Ukrainian military keeps all logistics routes under fire control.

At the same time, Pivden Operational Command says that the invaders are trying to use the inhabitants of the occupied territories against the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"In the temporarily occupied territories, mobilization activities continue, during which the occupying troops make door-to-door rounds, draw up lists of men of military age. Document checks have been strengthened at checkpoints, and exits from the territories controlled by the Russian fascists are as complicated as possible," the message says.
