The General Staff explained why this objective is particularly important.
Units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck an "Iskander-M" tactical ballistic missile launcher in the Kursk Region (Russian Federation). This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is noted that the target was struck in the area where ballistic missiles are reloaded—near Fatezh in the Kursk region.
“Why this is important: every destroyed Iskander-M launcher reduces the Russian Federation’s army’s ability to launch ballistic strikes against Ukrainian cities,” the statement reads.
The ministry also reported the destruction of repair units, which makes it difficult for the enemy to repair damaged equipment and return it to the front, as well as the loss of ammunition depots, which reduces the enemy’s firepower.
In particular, Russian Army ammunition depots were struck in the areas surrounding the settlements of Maloyanisol in the Donetsk region, Novogorovka in the Kharkiv region, and Ganusovka in the Luhansk region.
