Volodymyr Zelensky: We Stopped the Enemy on Many Directions

Ukrainians show real heroism.

On February 25, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recorded a new video message about the current situation in Ukraine, it is published on the Facebook page of the President's Office.

He noted that at 4:00 a.m., Russian forces continued to launch missiles on Ukrainian territory.

"They say civilian objects are not a target for them. This is a lie. They do not distinguish in which areas to operate. Military and civilians are still under Russian attack, just like yesterday. The aim of this attack is pressure. Pressure on you, the citizens of Ukraine, and pressure on our entire society. I stress: not just on the government, but all Ukrainians. And today - even more than yesterday", said Zelensky.

He believes the invaders' attack on the basis "that our forces will grow tired, but we are not."

"Our boys and girls - all the defenders of Ukraine - did not let the enemy fulfil the operational plan of the invasion on the first day. The Ukrainians show real heroism. In most directions, the enemy has been stopped. There are fights," Zelensky said.

He stresses that Ukraine's air defence forces are defending the Ukrainian sky "as much as possible."

The president recalls this morning's missile attack on Kyiv. The aircraft was shot down by the Ukrainian air defence system, but its fragments fell on a residential building, resulting in fire.

"The terrible explosions in the morning sky over Kyiv, the bombing, the hits on a residential building, the fire - all of this reminds of the first such attack on our capital, which took place in 1941," the president said.
