Johnson Reacted To The Collision Involving The Train He Was Riding On
Boris Johnson

A British politician called for the frozen Russian assets to finally be transferred to Ukraine.

Europe, and the United Kingdom in particular, must transfer frozen Russian assets to Ukraine in order to put an end to Russia’s armed aggression. This was wrote on social media platform X, former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, after a Russian drone attacked a Ukrzaliznytsia train on which the politician was traveling.

“I don’t know what twisted logic drove Putin to blow up a stationary Ukrainian locomotive on the Polish border this morning. What we can say for certain is that Ukrainians face such attacks every day,” he wrote.

Johnson expressed outrage that Ukraine is receiving too little air defense equipment from its Western partners. He also called for the transfer to Ukraine of 140 billion euros in frozen Russian assets held in a Belgian depository, or at least the 10 billion pounds held in London.

“The Ukrainians will prevail—that has become clear over the past three days in their remarkable country. But we’ll end this terrible war much faster if we all take this seriously and give them what they need and deserve,” the politician added.
