AFU Defeated Russian Forces Near Oleksandrivka

The enemy's assault died out with huge casualties.

The Ukrainian military on the southern defensive lines inflicted further losses in manpower and equipment on the Russian occupiers.

An enemy assault near Oleksandrivka in Kherson region was repelled and enemy observation posts were eliminated.

This is reported by the press service of the Operational Command "South".

It is noted that settlements in Kherson region are under constant shelling by Russian troops.

"Near Oleksandrivka, the enemy tried to continue the assault, but had no success. Our reconnaissance unit discovered and destroyed two hidden enemy observation posts," the report says.

In Mykolayiv Region, AFU fighters shot down a Russian Orlan-10 UAV, with the help of which the occupiers were trying to conduct aerial reconnaissance.

The enemy continues to launch artillery strikes on residential areas and civilians in Mykolayiv and the region.

"Total losses of the enemy at the southern line of our defence amounted to 34 Rashists and 7 pieces of equipment, including a tank, a self-propelled Msta-S howitzer, a multiple rocket launcher, other armoured, vehicle and engineering equipment," the military said.

The Operational Command "South" also noted that in the Kherson region, the Russian occupants have stepped up preparations for their fake "referendum" by moving the date of holding it to April 27.

Additionally, the occupiers are forcing the local population at gunpoint to "elect" a new local "government" loyal to the occupants in settlements in Mykolayiv Region near the admission border with Kherson Region.
