AFU Repulse Russian Attempt To Block Bakhmut-Lysychansk Highway

The occupants retreated with significant losses.

The AFU hold back Russian troops on the border of Luhansk and Donetsk regions. Ukrainian fighters repulsed an attempt by the occupants to block the Bakhmut-Lysychansk highway.

The head of the Luhansk OVA Sergei Gaidai reports on Telegram.

"The Russians daily receive orders to advance, not always comply with them, as the losses are significant. Both war prisoners and those who communicate with the population in Lysychansk and Severodonetsk admit this," Gaidai writes.

He says the enemy has thousands of dead and wounded during the storming of Lysychansk alone.

"Yes, they have more forces and means. However, the Ukrainian army is better prepared and motivated. More long-range weapons will appear. The enemy's personnel advantage will be leveled. Yesterday, the Russians wanted to advance in the Donetsk region and cut the Bakhmut-Lysychansk highway that runs past Belogorivka,. Nevertheless, they have nothing to report to their leadership. Under pressure from our fighters, the enemy had to withdraw," Gaidai informs.

He also notes the occupier suffers the untimely supply of ammunition.

"Thanks to the marksmanship of our fighters, who have destroyed several depots in the occupied territory in the last two weeks. One of them was on fire in Kadiivka the other day," adds the head of the OVA.

Let's recall the General Staff informs the AFU halted the offensive in the disputed area and repelled the attack near the summit. The Russian Federation is advancing in the area of Luhansk. The fighting continues.
