Tyva Soldiers Rebelled And Refused To Fight Against Ukraine

The occupiers are holding them by force.

In the Luhansk region, the Russian occupiers are forcibly holding 17 servicemen from the Republic of Tyva (the Russian Federation). They participated in hostilities against the Armed Forces of Ukraine, later they filed reports on the termination of their contracts and stated that they no longer wanted to fight.

This was reported by the Mediazona Russian news publisher with reference to the head of the legal department of the Free Buryatia Foundation, Andrei Rinchino. The lawyer said that he had received such information from one of the occupiers.

According to him, the Tuvans had previously signed short-term contracts with the Russian Ministry of Defence and went to fight against the Ukrainian defenders in the Luhansk region, then they filed reports. Some of the contract soldiers were returned to the Russian Federation, while others were ordered to wait.

A week later, the rest were sent back to the front line in the Luhansk region, without providing them with any military gear. The car broke down on their way, and they lagged behind other military.

The occupiers decided to return to Russia on their own, but in Pervomaisk, which the Russians took even in 2014, the military police of the Russian army detained them. The documents were taken away from the invaders and sent to the commandant's office in Alchevsk. There, the military was locked in one of the premises, without explaining why they were being held.

At the same time, as Rinchino said, there were also people whose contracts had already expired among those who were kept in Alchevsk. The other day, all 17 Russian military escapists were sent to 'clear premises' in Bryanka (13 km from Alchevsk). After work, the soldiers are locked up in the local commandant's office, the lawyer says.

“Today one of them asked why they are being kept there. He was immediately put in a cell,” Rinchino added.
