Among the occupiers' casualties are company and platoon commanders.
The 3rd Army Corps provided an update on the fourth phase of Operation “Vivaldi,” during which the 2nd Assault Battalion took part in the liberation of Novomikhailovka, Katerynivka, and Novoye (Liman sector). The fighters of this unit managed to eliminate or capture 19 Russian Federation Army officers: four company commanders, two deputy commanders, and 13 platoon commanders.
This was reported by the commander of the 2nd Assault Battalion Druzh Datsik in a video posted on the Third Army Corps’ account on the social network X.
“The Russians don’t abandon their own”—so whose are these, then? 19 Russian Federation officers were killed or taken prisoner by the 3rd Assault Battalion!
Friend Datsyk, commander of the 2nd Assault Battalion, discusses the third phase of the Third Army Corps’ “Vivaldi” offensive operation.
Near the village of Nove, the enemy sent in reinforcements—the “Black Mamba” unit. The commander of the enemy assault unit, Marshal, simply abandoned his men and tried to break out of the encirclement, but he failed to escape. In total, our assault troops eliminated 120 enemy fighters in the battles.
They wanted to plant their flag on our land, but instead their entire unit was buried there.

According to the officer, during the battles for Novoye, a company of the “Black Mamba” assault unit, consisting of 120 men, was sent as reinforcements to the enemy. During the ensuing fighting, most of the reinforcements were eliminated by Ukrainian Armed Forces. Thirty-two survivors managed to retreat into the forest, where they set up a circular defense and held out for exactly 7 days.
On the fourth day, the commander of “Black Mamba,” whose call sign was “Marshal,” along with his radio operator, abandoned his comrades while attempting to break through the encirclement.
“They didn’t succeed; they were ambushed and eliminated,” noted Druzh Datsik.
The commander of the 2nd Assault Battalion also displayed the captured “Black Mamba” flag, which the unit was supposed to raise in Novoye.
