The invaders steal motorcycles from local residents to run away faster.
The large-scale counter-offensive of the Ukrainian military damages the administrative capabilities of the occupiers, encouraging them to leave the occupied territories of Ukraine, even far behind the front line. This is stated in a new report from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
Thus, the Ukrainian resistance center reported on September 12 that Russian troops throughout the occupied Kherson region have restricted general freedom of movement, strengthened military checkpoints, and increased looting. In particular, the invaders are stealing motorcycles from local residents.
“All these are clear signs of Russian desperation. Russian troops can loot scooters and motorcycles in order to escape in the event of a military collapse,” the ISW noted.
Against this background, the protege of the Kremlin, the so-called head of the occupied Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, said that the FSB of the Russian Federation detained, as they claim, “Ukrainian terrorists”. According to the Russians, the detainees allegedly planned an attack on the Kherson occupation administration. At the same time, the Ukrainian Resistance Center reported that Russian troops have stepped up patrols and checkpoints around Mariupol to thwart Ukrainian “sabotage”.
It was reported that in the south, the Ukrainian military liberated about 500 square kilometers from the invaders. In particular, according to the Pivden Operational Command, our defenders liberated 13 settlements there, and moved the front line from 4 to 12 km.
In turn, Head of the joint press center of the Defense Forces of Pivden OC Natalia Humenyuk said that the Ukrainian defenders over the past two weeks have eliminated more than 1,800 invaders, and destroyed 626 units of military equipment and about 10 cruise missiles.
