Kherson Shooting: AFU Describes What Actually Happened

The Ukrainian command knew about the sabotage preparation by the Russians.

The Russians are trying to perform sabotage actions in the occupied territories in order to discredit the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is exactly what happened in Kherson, where the shooting took place last night.

RBC-Ukraine reports with reference to the head of the Joint Coordinating Press Center of the Defence Forces of Southern Ukraine Nataliya Humeniuk on the air of the telethon.

She drew attention to the fact that earlier there was a warning that from September 17 to September 20 in the Kherson region, the occupiers are planning a number of sabotage activities that will damage the image of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“The Russian forces are trying to convey the information that they are not being liberated but captured. That is why, first of all, you should pay attention to provocations with shooting in the center of Kherson, provocations with explosions, and other things that they cover through their propaganda channels,” Humeniuk said.

According to her, if some extraordinary events take place in the occupied territories, for example, explosions or shootings, and it has not ended yet, and the correspondent of the occupation television is already “in a whirlpool of events”, then this is most likely a provocation.

Kherson incidents

Recall that last evening, September 17, in the temporarily occupied city of Kherson, there were reports of explosions and shootings. The Russians announced the so-called "counter-terrorist" operation.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine assumed that the occupiers were filming "another story" in this way. Meanwhile, the representative of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Bratchuk, said that it was the Kadyrovites who could fight with the Wagnerites, who were recently sent to reinforce Kherson.
