Belarus Announces Start Of New Joint ‘Drills’ With Russia

They are planning to "use troops".

The Belarussian MoD announced the start of new joint drills with the Russian Federation. We are talking about "staff training". They are also planning to "use troops" of the two countries.

The Belarusian Ministry of Defence reported.

"During the week, representatives of the military bodies of the two states will work out the issues of joint planning of the use of troops, taking into account the experience of armed conflicts of recent years, on the topic: Making a decision on the use of a regional grouping of troops (forces) in the interests of ensuring the military security of the Union State," the report reads.

They claim that the new training is aimed at increasing the compatibility of the military command and control bodies of the two states and is the next stage of preparation for the Union Shield-2023 drills, which will be held in Russia in September.

It’s worth mentioning that yesterday it became known that the Russian army sent its new units to Belarus for training. At the same time, some military who underwent drills in the Republic of Belarus have already returned to the Russian Federation, from where they will be transferred to the occupied territories of Ukraine.
