Political Prisoner Ihar Alinevich Spent 20 Days In Punishment Cell
IHAR ALINEVICH

Zhodzina prison’s authorities keep putting pressuer on Ihar Alinevich.

Political prisoner Ihar Alinevich was kept in a punishment cell for 20 days, reports The Right of Rebellion Telegram channel.

The reason for punshing Alinevich was not specified.

A punishment cell is a small cell in which you are only allowed to take a toothbrush, toothpaste, toilet paper and soap. The prison staff gives you slippers instead of your usual shoes, a robe with the inscription “ШИЗО” (“Punshment Detention Center”) without a collar, and a small towel.

The prison authorities can send a prisoner to a punishment cell for any violation of prison regulations. According to the Penal Enforcement Code, prisoners can be sent to a punishment cell for up to 10 days. However, it happens that a prisoner spends there several times for 10 days in a row.

Recall that anarchist movement activist Ihar Alinevich was sentenced to 20 years in a high security prison and was transferred from the Mazyr prison to the Zhodzina prison on August 11, 2022. He was repeatedly placed in a punishment cell there. The political prisoner went on a hunger strike as a sign of protest.

Zhodzina prison’s authorities keep putting pressuer on Ihar Alinevich. It is known that he has already been placed in a punishment cell several times.
