The Armed Forces of Ukraine knock out the enemy from their positions with precise strikes.
Ukrainian defenders are conducting active defence and holding their positions in Bakhmut. At the same time, the Russians voluntarily surrender.
Petro Voloshchenko, an AFU fighter, told about this giving comments on the situation to 24 Channel. According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to achieve certain results in Bakhmut in recent days.
The Russians can't withstand
Petro Voloshchenko said that the Russian troops are really surrendering, more and more. However, the situation in Bakhmut differs from the forest belts, small villages and settlements around the city.
“Firstly, they significantly interrupt our communications within the city. They have found a way to counter Starlink, and communication delays between detachments and the command post make it difficult for us to operate,” he said.
Secondly, the Russians are weakened, so it is easier to capture them. The Armed Forces of Ukraine first monitor the occupiers entering five-story buildings and then order attacks.
“They surrender when they feel the beginning of our assault: they simply shout from the windows: “We surrender, we surrender!” One of their representatives comes out, for example, the platoon commander or their company commander, and thus the surrender takes place,” the Ukrainian defender explained.
According to him, the enemy has problems with motivation. The Russians enter Bakhmut with the conviction that the city is theirs. Their commanders make them feel like this.
The AFU is pushing back the enemy
Petro Voloshchenko stressed that now the Armed Forces of Ukraine are continuing the active and dynamic defence of Bakhmut, turning into a powerful attack.
“We have very good cannon artillery in the Chasiv Yar settlement, and we accurately knock out the enemy, wherever it goes,” he stressed.
In addition, about a hundred UAVs literally hang over Bakhmut every day, practically controlling all the movements of the troops. However, this does not prevent the Ukrainian side from achieving success.
“For the first time in the last week, we've correctly concentrated the fire and were able to force them even a few streets back,” he said and added that the Russians do not control the city center.
According to him, the Kostiantynivka-Bakhmut highway is under the operational control of the Ukrainian troops. However, to overcome this path, the defenders have to ride at breakneck speed so that the enemy is not able to attack them.
The situation is under control
Petro Voloshchenko noted that the Ukrainian defenders are waiting for favourable weather when the highway dries up. Then they will be able to push the enemy further.
“We will be able to move further along the asphalt surface,” he is convinced.
In addition, the Ukrainian command monitors the situation in the city every 2-4 hours. Fighting is currently taking place in densely built-up sectors.
