On June 5, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine Hanna Maliar said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are moving to offensive operations in some areas. Over the past 10 days, the Ukrainian army managed to liberate several settlements and take control of an area of more than 90 square kilometers.

On June 5, the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel General Oleksandr Syrsky, showed how the tanks of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade near Bakhmut destroyed the Russian landing.
It was hot that day in the Zaporizhzhia direction. A Ukrainian T-64 tank defeated a modernized Russian T-80 armoured vehicle in the Polohi district. Against this background, there were reports of the loss of control by the Russians over two settlements at the junction of the Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions. A vivid video of the tank duel was published by Ukrainian MP Yuriy Mysiahin.
On June 6, information appeared that the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the 92nd Brigade, destroyed an entire company of Russian invaders with drones, consisting of former prisoners. The Russians went to the positions of the company of former prisoners, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine at that time moved forward and occupied it. With the help of "wedding drones" this company was completely exterminated. Four invaders were taken prisoner.
On June 7, the Ground Forces of Ukraine dealt a powerful artillery strike to the Russian army in the flooded Kherson region.
On June 8, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out another successful assault on the Bakhmut direction. The soldiers managed to eliminate a considerable amount of enemy manpower, as well as capture four Russian soldiers.
On June 9, a video appeared on the Web showing the assault on the positions of the occupiers. Ukrainian soldiers attacked the enemy position with two American Humvees. The location of the operation was not specified.
A company of Russians left their positions and fled under the blows of units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on one of the sectors of the front.
On June 10, Ukrainian defenders defeated troops of the 72nd Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces near Bakhmut. In particular, the soldiers of the 3rd separate assault brigade actually completely destroyed the enemy. Part of the invaders managed to escape, and several more Russian soldiers were captured.
On June 11, the Wolf Pack fighters from the 3rd Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched an assault and broke through the positions of the Russians. During the assault, they bombard the enemy with grenades and “poured” them with small arms fire. It is important that, despite the difficult conditions, the military of Ukraine retained their presence of mind and courage. The location was not reported. We know that the 3rd Brigade was involved, among other things, in breaking through the flanks of the Bakhmut direction.
On June 12, Ukrainian marines covered Russian vehicles near Storozhiv in the Donetsk region. The enemy’s BMPs and the T-80 BV thank were destroyed, the Russians were taken prisoner.

On June 13, the Armed Forces of Ukraine showed a video of the liberation of Makarivka in the Donetsk region. According to the fighters of the 35th Separate Marine Corps Brigade, part of the enemy manpower was disabled, others were taken prisoner and some escaped.
On June 14, soldiers of the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade staged a night drone hunt for Russian infantry near Maryinka. The enemy suffered significant manpower losses.
