AFU Break Through Russian Defence Near Berhivka Outside Bakhmut

The Russian command is panicking over the possibility of encirclement.

The Ukrainian army has broken through the Russian defence in the area of Berhivka near Bakhmut. The Russian command is hastily moving reinforcements to the area of Klishchiivka and Berkhivka to prevent the AFU from reaching Bakhmut and encircling the grouping of Russian troops.

This is reported in the report of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

Andriy Kovalev, a representative of the AFU General Staff, said that Ukrainian forces had succeeded in the area of Bila Hora - Andriivka and Bila Hora - Kurdyumivka.

At the same time, Russian military bloggers claim that the AFU has gained a foothold on the heights east of Orekhovo-Vasylivka and has almost already reached the E40 Bakhmut-Slaviansk motorway.

The Russian propaganda Rybar channel reported that the AFU had broken through the defences of Putin's army near Berkhivka.

Indirectly this information was confirmed by a Ukrainian defender with the call sign "Bakhmut Demon". According to him, the situation near Klishchiivka and Berhivka is really difficult, as the enemy has moved the entire available reserve there.
