The blow could have been delivered by drones.
Explosions thundered on the Crimean bridge early this morning. There was a collapse of one span, another one came off the support, which was hit at least once.
A number of Ukrainian media write that the Crimean bridge was attacked by surface drones. This is a special operation of the Security Service of Ukraine and the country's Navy.
The SSU officially commented on the attack on the Crimean bridge. They said that the office was “watching with interest” as “one of the symbols of the Putin regime has once again failed to withstand the military burden.” This statement was made by the representative of the Security Service of Ukraine Artem Dekhtyarenko. The BBC, citing a source in the SSU, reports that the night attack on the Crimean bridge was an operation of the naval forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine: according to the source, surface drones were used during it.

In addition, adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak spoke about the attack on the Crimean bridge. “Any illegal constructs used to deliver Russian tools of mass murder are short-lived. Regardless of the reasons for the destruction,” he tweeted.

After the explosion, Russian authorities closed traffic through the Kerch Strait. Those traveling to or from the Crimea are advised to travel through the occupied territories of mainland Ukraine.
Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Roman Svitan believes that Ukrainian troops indeed stand behind the explosions on the Crimean bridge. According to the military expert, the explosion took place without the occupiers announcing an air raid alert. In this regard, he did not rule out that the explosion was not connected with an air attack. According to him, the Crimean bridge could be attacked by surface drones.
“Most likely, this is again the joint work of the SSU and the Navy. By this tandem, they have already carried out several attacks with surface drones in the Sevastopol Bay. We have such glider drones, one of them can carry 100-200 kg of explosives. Most likely there were two of them, since they are launched in pairs,” added Svitan.
Ukrainian military expert Oleksandr Kovalenko, in an interview with Charter97.org, said that Russian military logistics had been dealt a painful blow.
