Massive Drone Attack In Moscow: Airspace Over 'Vnukovo' Closed

16 flights have been cancelled.

The airspace near the Vnukovo airport, located in the south-west of the Russian capital, is closed to aircraft traffic, the ВВС reports.

Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that the air defence forces allegedly "shot down an unmanned aerial vehicle" over the capital. Its wreckage fell near "Expocentre" on Krasnopresnenskaya embankment.

"The airspace is temporarily closed. Departures and arrivals have been postponed. Some flights have been carried over to other airports," TASS quoted a representative of aviation services as saying.

According to the airport's scoreboard, six departures and eight arrivals have been postponed, five flights has been carried out to other airports.
