Puppet Theater Director Tried On Politically Motivated Charges In Homel

The man has been running the theater since 1992.

Director of the puppet theater Dzmitry Harelik stood trial in Homel on charges under Part 2 of Article 19.11 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (Dissemination of Extremist Materials), writes Viasna Homel.

Human rights activists do not yet know what the man was accused of and what decision the court made.

Dzmitry Harelik has been running the theater since June 1, 1992. His name has not yet been removed from the website of the Homel Puppet Theater — he is still listed as the director.
