Yak-130 Plane Self-Destroys In Russia

The fate of the pilots has become known.

Russian military aviation continues to lose aircraft not only in the war in Ukraine.

As Dialogue.UA reports with reference to Russian Telegram channels, in the morning of October 9, a Yak-130 training plane crashed in Kalmykia while flying to an airfield in Volgograd Region.

It is reported that both pilots managed to eject and were taken to hospital.

The preliminary cause of the incident is equipment failure.

The Yak-130 is the first new, not modernised, plane created in the Russian Federation after the collapse of the USSR.

It is used for training pilots of fourth and fifth generation fighters, and can also participate in combat operations. In total, since 2009, more than 160 boards have been produced, four of which crashed.

The cost of one such aircraft, depending on the modification, is from 7 to 15 million dollars.
