More than a thousand people have been evacuated.
Crimea's largest oil depot has been on fire in Feodosia for the fourth day in a row after the Defence Forces attacked it on the night of October 7, writes ‘Crimea.Realii’ on Thursday, October 10.
Locals report that black columns of smoke can be seen in the city. Windows were broken out in the houses close to the oil depot.
The head of the occupation administration of Feodosia Igor Tkachenko said that 1,137 people were evacuated in the city because of the fire at the oil depot. There are still restrictions on travel in parts of Feodosia.
Also, local ‘authorities’ warned residents about the possibility of deterioration in the quality of drinking water and breakdowns due to high consumption to extinguish the fire.
The Crimean Wind monitoring channel writes that the oil terminal supplied fuel to Russian military units on the peninsula.
‘Now the supply will go directly ‘from wheels’, and this complicates logistics and may disrupt the regularity of fuel deliveries to the military,’ it said.
