On February 15, near the Belarusian-Lithuanian border in the Hrodna region, border guards detained a man who illegally crossed the state border from Lithuania to Belarus.
This was reported by the press service of the State Border Committee.

The detainee said that he is a citizen of Croatia. He had with him two backpacks with things, a knife and cash. The end point of such an illegal “travel” was Belarus or the Russian Federation, where the offender went to look for work and better living conditions.
An administrative process has been initiated against the detainee for violating the state border and rules of stay. The man faces a fine of up to one hundred base fees (4,000 rubles) and deportation. At the moment he is in the temporary detention center of the Hrodna border group.
