USA Transferring New Shipments Of Weapons To Ukraine

The US will hand over new aid packages to Ukraine in the coming weeks. The White House believes that American weapons are changing the situation on the battlefield in Ukraine.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the White House adviser on national security Jake Sullivan during a briefing.

‘I think you can expect over the next few weeks an announcement of further deliveries of significant capability to Ukraine,’ he said.

Sullivan said Ukraine was ‘in a hole’ because of delays in sending U.S. military aid. But the White House adviser said Ukraine was ‘strengthening the lines’ in key places, particularly stopping Russia's offensive north of Kharkiv.

Sullivan also noted that the US is supplying Ukraine with ammunition and other weapons. He agreed with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that more air defences are needed and the US is working on this.

The White House adviser stressed that ‘the weapons coming to the battlefield in the scale and quantity over the past few days and weeks have had an impact on the situation on the front’.
