Drone Shoots Down Russian Mi-28 Helicopter In Rostov Region

A fire started after the emergency landing.

A Mi-28 helicopter made an emergency landing after a collision with a Ukrainian drone in the Rostov region of Russia. This caused a massive fire — the grass caught fire under the aircraft due to the high engine temperature, the fire engulfed about 500 square meters of territory.

This was reported by Russian and Ukrainian media. It is noted that the military helicopter was discovered in the middle of a field in the Azov region on the morning of July 5 by local farmers. No crew members were found nearby, the aircraft itself was “seriously damaged”. Firefighters were sent to the scene to extinguish the fire.
