Named the main miscalculation of the occupants near Kupyansk.
The situation in the Kupyansk direction in Kharkiv Region remains serious. The Russian occupiers need not so much Kupyansk itself as Kupyansk-Uzlovoy, where the railroad hub necessary for supplying units is located. This was stated by Pavel Lakiychuk, head of military programs at the Center for Globalistics "Strategy XXI" Pavel Lakiychuk on the air of FreeDom.
According to him, a long stay in the gas pipe will have a negative impact on the health of the occupants who tried to reach positions in this way.
"It is a lie to climb into a four-kilometer pipe with the expectation that all the people will come out of it on the other side. Especially since the Russians have already tried it twice, the third time they are repeating the same thing. Yes, some part of the occupiers who got into this pipe will come out of it, and they will even be able to fire for a while, to draw attention to themselves. But sooner or later they will all die, not even because they will be destroyed, but because it is oxygen starvation, it is a poisoned atmosphere," he explained.
He believes that if the Russians continue to use such methods of transportation, someone recommends them to do so.
"To the constant attacks with an attempt to bypass Kupyansk from the northwest, they are adding a southern wedge, that is, they want to seize the city with converging blows. And quite a lot of forces have been allocated for this," Lakiychuk said.
He also added that the Kupyansk direction is auxiliary for the main strike in the Pokrovskyi section.
"If in other directions the Russians' actions can still be regarded as an attempt to stretch our defense, concentrating their forces on the main strikes, then Kupyansk is an important node, which they will try to seize at any cost," the expert concluded.
