On the night of October 1, the Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked Russian strategic targets in occupied Crimea. A power substation in the village of Nizhnegorsk was damaged, according to Dialog.UA after analyzing social media.
An airstrike on the power substation in the village of Nizhnegorsk in northeastern Crimea occurred shortly after midnight on October 1. Part of the village was left without power for a short time. The video was published by the Telegram channel “Crimean Wind.”
The transformers at the 110/35/10 kV "Nizhnegorskaya" electrical substation have a capacity of 50 MVA. It distributes electricity to the Nizhnegorsk District, which is home to several military and strategic facilities of the Russian occupiers. For example, there is a large oil depot in this district. It supplies the Russian Federation’s occupying army with fuel and lubricants.
As a reminder, since July of this year, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces have been conducting Operation “Crimean Circuit Breaker Off” to cut off electricity to the Russian occupiers. During this time, the UAV Forces have struck 412 enemy power facilities. Nine gas distribution stations were damaged in annexed Crimea, nine power substations in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk Oblast, 12 power substations in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk Oblast, and others.
