The region is home to major Russian energy facilities.

On the night of October 13, drones attacked industrial facilities in Russia’s Stavropol Krai. Local authorities reported the strikes but did not specify which facilities may have been targeted.

This was reported by “Censor.NET” citing Russian media outlets that published a statement by the governor of the Stavropol Krai Vladimir Vladimirov.

According to Vladimirov, drones attacked industrial facilities in the urban-type settlement of Solnechnodolsk. He did not provide details about possible damage.

Earlier, the governor also reported a drone attack on the industrial zone of the city of Nevinnomyssk.

Both settlements are home to major Russian energy facilities. Specifically, the Stavropol Thermal Power Plant operates in Solnechnodolsk, and the Nevinnomyssk Thermal Power Plant operates in Nevinnomyssk.

At the same time, there is no confirmation yet that these particular power plants were targeted or sustained damage.

According to the ASTRA Telegram channel, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed to have allegedly destroyed 604 drones over Russian regions overnight.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin also reported a massive drone attack on the Russian capital. According to him, 65 drones were allegedly shot down on the outskirts of Moscow.

There is no independent confirmation of the number of drones shot down as claimed by the Russian side.
