Trump Made A Cynical Statement About Russia And Ukraine

Amid massive attacks on Kyiv.

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Russia is “not really doing anything” with regard to Ukraine. He made this remark on October 19 during a conversation with reporters, according to the Clash Report project.

According to Trump, “Russia is behaving quite acceptably toward Ukraine,” and the Russians “aren’t really doing anything.”

In addition, the White House chief noted that Chinese leader Xi Jinping “has behaved very fairly toward Ukraine.”

“He hasn’t interfered too much. The same goes for Russia. They have fallen far short of the expectations they could have met. They know I appreciate that,” the U.S. president concluded.

Trump’s remarks came amid new Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities. Specifically, as a result of shelling in Kyiv on the night of October 18–19, one person was killed, and eight others were injured. Damage was reported in three districts of the Ukrainian capital.
