For a humanitarian mission.
A Ukrainian delegation led by Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets departed today, October 29, for Oleshky in the Kherson region on a humanitarian mission.
According to RBC-Ukraine, this was announced by a member of the Ukrainian negotiating delegation and head of the “Servant of the People” faction David Arakhamia.
According to him, the Ukrainian delegation, led by Lubinets, set out today for Oleshky.
“We will monitor and report on the progress of the operation as soon as communication is established,” Arakhamia added.
Humanitarian Mission in Oleshky
As a reminder, on October 27, a ceasefire was declared near the temporarily occupied town of Oleshky in the Kherson region to facilitate a humanitarian mission.
It involves the delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians and preparations for the evacuation of local residents. The ceasefire will remain in effect until 10:59 p.m. on November 1.
Subsequently, the ceasefire zone was expanded beyond the city limits to ensure the safety of humanitarian convoys.
The local ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia has already yielded its first results—for the first time in a long while, residents of Kherson can safely go out onto the city streets and enjoy life without constant attacks from Russia.
As of this morning, a ceasefire has been in effect for more than 50 consecutive hours in the Oleshky area. Humanitarian aid is being prepared for residents and is scheduled to be delivered to the city as early as tomorrow, October 30.
Demining operations are currently underway on the routes necessary for the humanitarian mission.
In addition, according to Fox News, Ukraine and Russia have agreed on monthly aid for the Kherson region following the humanitarian mission in Oleshky.
Also, U.S. First Lady Melania Trump stated that several Newsmax journalists will travel to occupied Oleshky to provide independent coverage of the humanitarian mission.
