They flew 1,800 kilometers.

On the morning of October 29, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out airstrikes on strategic targets in Russia’s Perm Krai, resulting in damage to an industrial site. This was reported by dialog.ua after monitoring social media.

A drone alert was declared in the Perm Krai on October 29 at approximately 6:19 a.m. Moscow Standard Time. Restrictions on aircraft arrivals and departures were imposed at Perm Airport. Some higher education institutions canceled their first classes of the day or suspended classes altogether. The drone threat alert in the region was lifted at 10:20 a.m. Moscow time.

Perm Krai Governor Dmitry Makhonin acknowledged that Ukraine had carried out an airstrike that morning on targets in this Russian region, which is located approximately 1,800 km from the border. According to him, damage was reported at one of the industrial sites. He claims that the damage is “minor,” and that Russian air defense forces in the skies over the Kama region allegedly shot down 10 Ukrainian UAVs.

The airstrike by the Ukrainian Defense Forces on the night of and morning of October 29 against Russian military and strategic targets was one of the most massive in recent months. The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that Russian air defense systems over Russian territory allegedly shot down 1,214 Ukrainian drones.
