Three errors in two sentences about Belarus.
A resident of the Russian capital visited Belarus and shared her impressions of the trip on the social media platform Threads.
“To me, Minsk is like a mini-Moscow, but in Grodno I finally felt like I was ‘abroad,’” she wrote. “Now I have four Belarusian fortresses in my collection: Nesvizh, Mir, Lida, and Grodno. I can already put together my own ‘top ten’ list of medieval sites.”
A Belarusian, as noted by the website Charter97.org, pointed out the errors she made in her post.
“Minsk is not Moscow, but the capital of another country—one that is foreign to you.
In Nesvizh, there’s a palace, not a fortress.
Only the castles in Lida and Grodno are medieval, since Nesvizh Palace and Mir Castle were built later.
You’d be better off traveling around Russia, since you’re still very far from the level of culture that exists in Belarus,” wrote one of the commenters.
