Turkey Is Deporting Dozens Of Russian Women

They were accused of “violating moral standards and public safety regulations.”

In Turkey, 34 Russian women face deportation following police raids on nightclubs in Ankara. The women were detained on suspicion of prostitution and sent to an immigration center, according to Baza. The Russian Embassy confirmed the detentions, noting that Turkish authorities accuse the Russian women of violating public morality and public safety regulations. The detained Russian women were placed in the “Akyurt” deportation center in Ankara. The issue of deportation will be decided in court. Russian consulate officials have already met with the Russian women.

The raids took place on October 23 at the “Maxim,” “Havana,” and “Folli Berger” clubs. In total, police detained more than 100 women, most of whom had come from CIS countries. According to a friend of one of the detainees, the women were invited to Turkey to work as dancers, singers, and DJs. They were promised a salary of up to $2,500 a month, a work visa, and accommodation in a five-star hotel. However, once they arrived, it became clear that in addition to performing, they would be required to provide additional services.

In April 2026, Turkish police conducted similar raids on nightclubs in the Turkish capital.
