Zelensky reacted to Trump's words.
Ukraine under pressure from the United States agreed to go to a ceasefire in the war without any preconditions, but the aggressor country Russia rejected this proposal. The head of the Ukrainian state Vladimir Zelensky said this in an interview with Politico on the margins of the Munich Security Conference.
"There are some signals from the American side, from [US President Donald] Trump. They are saying, 'It's time for compromises. You can take some steps forward.' We've made a lot of compromises. [Illegitimate Russian President Vladimir] Putin and his friends are not in jail. This is the biggest compromise the world has already made," Zelenskyy said.

He said that "today only the U.S. can stop Putin" - the only one who wants to continue the war against Ukraine.

Trump said on Feb. 13 that the aggressor country Russian Federation allegedly wants a peace deal, so Zelensky "must act" or he'll "miss a great opportunity."
