A video showing a new tactic of drone use by the Ukrainian military is circulating online. It is about the so-called "sleeping" FPV drones, which are placed in advance in the rear of the enemy and are in standby mode.

The video shows how such a drone lies motionless on the ground - in a field or shelter - and does not give away its presence. Once the reconnaissance drone detects the movement of Russian equipment, the "waiting" device instantly rises into the air and attacks the target. One of the episodes shows the destruction of a vehicle carrying Russian military personnel.

The tactic differs markedly from the standard use of FPV drones. Instead of constant patrolling, a stealthy ambush is used: the device does not consume energy and does not create noise until the moment of attack. As a result, the enemy does not detect the threat in advance, and the reaction time is reduced to a few seconds.
