An oil slick that appeared in the Black Sea after a UAV attack on Rosneft's marine terminal in Tuapse has moved northward. In a satellite image taken on April 26, it was spotted 30 km away from the palace of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin on Cape Idokopas.

The edge of the slick in the image appeared 50 km away from Tuapse, according to the environmental monitoring project Transparent World.

The pollution was recorded near the village of Arkhipo-Osipovka, which is part of Gelendzhik. In the image taken on April 25, the northern edge of the spot was near the village of Novomikhailovsky, 25 km from Tuapse.

"Agency. News" with reference to the ecologist writes that the pollution is similar to oil, but with admixtures of other oil products.

April 27, the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar region reported that 4,165 cubic meters of soil contaminated with oil products and "water-oil mixture" were collected from three sections of the city's beaches. According to the operational headquarters, work continues on the territory of the sea terminal, where the leak occurred, and at the mouth of the Tuapse River.

April 26, local residents published a video showing fuel oil being removed from Tuapse beaches with shovels. There was reportedly a shortage of people and equipment.

April 20, the AFU General Staff said that units of the Defense Forces had struck a number of important Russian facilities, including the Tuapse oil refinery. There they recorded a hit on a tank farm with a subsequent fire at the facility.

Russian media wrote that oil rain fell in Tuapse after a drone attack on the refinery.

In an April 26 report, analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) found that Ukraine continues to exploit overstretched Russian air defenses to inflict increasingly widespread damage to oil infrastructure and military facilities in Russia and in occupied Crimea with long-range strikes.
