Kęstutis Budris: There Is No Point In Discussing The Repeal Against Lukashenko

Lithuania adheres to the EU's common position.

The United States of America has increased pressure on Lithuania with the demand to resume the transit of Belarusian fertilizers. As Delfi.lt writes, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kiastutis Budrys said this on Thursday, commenting on the rumors that appeared in the local press the day before.

"I can say that yes, there is additional activity on this topic on the part of the United States," the minister said.

Despite the American pressure, Vilnius is not going to change its position. The Minister emphasized that Lithuania adheres to the common position of the EU - the sanctions against Belarus are extended until February 2027, and there's no sense to discuss their lifting.
