Belarus Builds Polygons That Can Be Used By Russia

Ukraine has warned of a potential threat.

Belarus is creating an infrastructure that can be used by Russia at any time. This was stated by the speaker of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Andrii Demchenko on the air of "Novini.LIVE" on May 4.

Demchenko noted that there is "certain activity" on the territory of Belarus, associated with the creation of logistics areas and the development of training grounds.

Also, according to him, further cooperation with Russia in the military sphere is likely.

"At the moment Russia does not keep on the territory of Belarus a sufficient number of its forces or units that could threaten our country, at any moment all this infrastructure that Belarus creates can be used by Russia," the speaker pointed out.

According to Demchenko, the situation is under constant control of the Ukrainian defense structures - the Ministry of Defense, intelligence and border service. He emphasized that any movement of Russian units on the territory of Belarus will be timely recorded.

The speaker drew attention to the information policy of Minsk. As he explained, the Belarusian authorities are trying to present the situation as if the threat comes from Ukraine or European countries in order to justify the need for support from Russia.

"This is an element of manipulation and information influence, which we continue to observe on the part of Belarus," Demchenko stressed.

He added that despite the lack of an immediate threat at the moment, Ukraine should be ready for any development of events in the northern direction.
