Ukraine's Strategy Is Yielding Results

The statistics speak for themselves.
Ukraine's strategy to "take out" Russian oil refining facilities is successfully scaling up and yielding results. In May, the AFU launched at least 16 attacks on such facilities. Specifically, Bloomberg reports that drones attacked eight of Russia's 10 largest refineries.
Ukraine has also stepped up repeated attacks on individual facilities to maximize damage and make quick repairs difficult. YANOS, a Rosneft and Gazprom Neft refinery, was attacked three times in May, while Lukoil facilities in Nizhny Novgorod and Perm were attacked twice each.
Experts say Kiev has also modified its strategy. Now the strikes are not only against primary refining units, which are relatively easy and quick to repair, but also against secondary units - more expensive and technically complex facilities. Ukraine is also hitting oil storage facilities. Refining volumes are expected to fall even further. Analysts estimate that refining in May will be down 13% year-on-year, the lowest since October 2009.
According to one Russian ogre blogger, "There is 'hazel' but for some reason there is no gasoline in Crimea." Strikes on the oil infrastructure and destruction of the logistics of the land corridor to the occupied peninsula, which the defenders of Ukraine consistently seek, remain among the most effective methods of fighting these terrorists. The statistics speak for themselves.
