A major fire.

Defense forces launched another strike on an oil refinery in the Krasnodar Krai on the night of June 28, after which photos of a massive fire and smoke surrounding the targeted facility appeared on social media. Satellite images available New Voice, confirm a highly successful attack.

This may indicate the destruction or damage of a large number of the plant’s technical trestles and fuel tanks. A column of smoke from the refinery stretches approximately 15–18 kilometers from the site of the fire, which, by all appearances, is still burning.

The refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban is one of the five largest oil refineries in the Krasnodar Krai. During the fuel crisis in Crimea, this particular refinery became one of the key facilities tasked with compensating for the shortage in the occupied territories. Over the course of a year, the plant processed enough crude oil to fill approximately 70 million standard 200-liter barrels.
