Putin Made A Fool Of Himself While Discussing The Situation On The Front Lines

It turns out that fighting is taking place on Russian territory.

On June 28, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in an interview with Russian media propagandists on Vesti that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were “almost surrounded” in the area of the Stary Oskol River. However, Stary Oskol is not a river but a city in the Belgorod Region of the Russian Federation, located more than 100 km from the border with Ukraine.

“On the left bank of the Stary Oskol River, we [units of the Russian Armed Forces] have effectively blocked a heterogeneous enemy group numbering about 5,000 men. It is pinned down against the river. Now, the 1st Tank Army of the Russian Armed Forces is advancing from above and pressing the enemy from the north, the 3rd Motorized Rifle Division is closing in from the east, and the 144th Division is advancing from the south,” the Russian dictator stated.

Putin added that Ukrainian units were allegedly about two kilometers away from being “completely surrounded.”

However, Sergei Sternenko , an advisor to the Ukrainian Minister of Defense and public figure noted that Stary Oskol is a city in the Belgorod Region of the Russian Federation and serves as the administrative center of the Stary Oskol Urban District.

“Putin has completely lost his mind. He claimed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are almost surrounded in the Stary Oskol area. This city is located in the Belgorod Region, 100 km from the border,” Sternenko wrote.
