Belarusian opposition leader and former political prisoner Nikolai Statkevich announced on his Telegram channel that his book has been published in Białystok.
He quotes the text printed on the cover: “How do people make moral choices in difficult situations? How do they become heroes or traitors? How do they turn into scoundrels or remain people of conscience? To answer these questions, I had to delve into human psychology—all the way down to our instincts. But in the literature on the subject, I found no comprehensive definition of human instincts; in fact, many sources denied their very existence in us, except for a few primitive, animalistic traits that completely contradicted human knowledge. Therefore, in the main text of this book—which also gave it its title—I had to propose my own definition of our instincts and a list of them. And then, based on that, describe how we make our moral choices in complex situations. I hope that understanding this will help the reader better comprehend human nature, themselves, and everything that has happened and is happening to our country and to us.”
Note that the book was published by “Kamuunikat”.
