KGB Agents Detained In Poland Were Filming Protests By Belarusians In Warsaw

One of them has been arrested and will be held for three months.

Officers from the Polish Internal Security Agency detained a 19-year-old Belarusian and a 44-year-old Pole who were acting on behalf of foreign intelligence services, reported on social media platform X by the press secretary of the Minister-Coordinator of Special Services Jacek Dobrzyński.

“Individuals paid by Belarusian intelligence participated in events organized in Warsaw by the Belarusian minority, where they recorded and photographed the participants,” Dobrzyński wrote. The suspects’ activities were coordinated via Telegram. They were paid in cryptocurrency.

He added that “the collected materials, smuggled across the eastern border, were used by Lukashenko’s services and the regime’s propaganda apparatus.”

The Belarusian citizen has been placed in preventive detention for three months. His passport has been confiscated, he is prohibited from leaving the country, and he is under police surveillance, reports TVP Info.

“These are the latest arrests as part of an investigation being conducted by the Rzeszów branch of the Internal Security Agency and the Lublin branch of the prosecutor’s office,” Dobrzyński wrote. He noted that five people had already been detained as part of the investigation, including three Belarusian citizens and two Ukrainian citizens.

Three suspects have been in custody since November 2025, and one has been placed in a juvenile detention center.
