Valery Zaluzhny: We Need To Step Up The Pressure On Russia

Illusions about the war ending soon are deceptive.

Former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Ukrainian Ambassador to the United Kingdom Valeriy Zaluzhny, following Russia’s massive strike on Kyiv stated on Facebook that “illusions about an imminent end to the war are deceptive”

“Kyiv. Russia demonstrates its ‘desire’ for peace time and time again,” he wrote. “By cowardly killing civilians at night and destroying the homes of innocent people.”

Such massive shelling —is yet another proof that illusions about a swift end to the war are deceptive. Our partners must also understand this reality. We must increase pressure on Russia so that the cost of the war becomes too high for it.”

Zaluzhny thanked everyone who is rescuing and protecting others, and expressed his condolences to the families of those killed and injured.
