Russia Launched A Missile Attack On Lviv: High-rise Buildings Are On Fire

On the night of July 30, the Russian army launched a missile strike on Lviv. The shelling caused significant damage in the regional capital, according to OBOZ.UA.

Residential buildings were once again targeted by Putin’s terrorists. Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi reported on the consequences of the attack on Telegram.

The Consequences of Terror

Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi reported that a series of explosions rocked the city on the night of July 30. According to city authorities, damage to residential buildings has been reported.

Sadovyi later clarified that following the missile attack in Lviv, residential buildings on Paton and Vyhovsky Streets are on fire. Rescue operations are ongoing. All necessary emergency services are on the scene.

According to preliminary data, as of 5:50 a.m., six people are known to have been injured as a result of enemy shelling at two locations in the city.

By around 7:00 a.m., the number of people injured in the rocket attack on Lviv had risen to 15, 14 of whom were hospitalized.

The regional military administration stated that people remain trapped under the rubble. Rescuers are doing everything they can to free them as quickly as possible.

Due to the closure of Paton Street, public transportation routes have been altered. Buses in both directions are traveling via Horodotska Street to Motozavod, then continuing on Vygovskogo Street. Trolleybuses No. 23 and No. 30 are temporarily out of service.

Rescue Operation in Lviv

According to the State Emergency Service, 8 people were injured and 7 were rescued in Lviv as a result of a missile strike. Several strikes were recorded in the city. Two high-rise residential buildings and non-residential structures were damaged.

Fires broke out at the impact sites. State Emergency Service units are extinguishing the fires and dealing with the aftermath of the attack. All emergency services are on the scene.

Consequences of the attack

A man and a child were rescued from under the rubble of a house destroyed by a Russian strike. Earlier, the victim’s mother, Olga, said that her son-in-law and six-year-old grandson were trapped under the rubble. According to her, the family usually takes shelter, but this time they didn’t make it in time.
