Water and cell service are also cut off.
A large-scale power outage occurred throughout the temporarily occupied Crimea. This was reported by Russian media, citing the company “Krymenergo.”
According to the official version, the cause was “technical malfunctions” triggered by external interference with the high-voltage power grids.
“Due to technical malfunctions caused by external interference, a widespread power outage affected consumers in all cities and districts of the Republic of Crimea,” the statement said.
As of the morning of July 6, emergency restoration work was still underway in the region. “Krymenergo” stated that it expects to fully restore power by the end of the day.
Mikhail Razvozhayev , the “governor” of Sevastopol previously appointed by Russia, reported that power outages in the city occurred following a Ukrainian attack outside its borders.
In turn, the Telegram channel “Crimean Wind” reported that the recent strike caused a fire at the 330-kV “Simferopol” substation, located near the village of Strogonovka, not far from the temporarily occupied city of Simferopol.
According to eyewitnesses, thick smoke and open flames were visible in the area of the power facility. It is noted that this substation had already been attacked on June 25, 2026.
According to available data, the most critical situation has developed in the Razdolnensky District of Crimea. Residents report a lack of electricity, water, and cell service.
“Only those stores that still have gasoline for generators are open, and they’re selling goods for cash only. People from nearby villages are traveling to Razdolnoye to withdraw cash and buy something, but the ATMs aren’t working and the banks are closed,” local residents said.
