Four Drones From Belarus Flew Into Lithuania

They were intercepted.

Just the other night, Lithuanian border guards simultaneously intercepted four drones from Belarus that were carrying contraband cigarettes. This is the first such incident in the history of the neighboring country’s border service.

Border guards heard the sound of several drones near a village located close to the “Privalka”–“Raigardas” border crossing. The drones were forced to land using special devices.

A shipment of contraband from Belarus was found on the ground—4,998 packs of Queen Mentol, NZ Gold, and Minsk 5 Superslims cigarettes. They were valued at 27,500 euros.

Between January and June, Lithuanian border guards have already intercepted 29 drones carrying contraband cigarettes from Belarus. A total of 59 drones were intercepted last year.
