A facility critical to the Russian Armed Forces is on fire.
On the night of August 16, Ukrainian defense forces struck the "Kamensky Combine" facility in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Rostov Oblast, Russia.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
A fire was reported on the facility’s grounds; the extent of the damage is being assessed.
“Kamensky Plant” is an enterprise within the Russian defense-industrial complex that produces solid rocket fuel for “Uragan” multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) munitions, “Smerch,” and “Tornado-S,” as well as for a number of missile systems and airborne weapons.
The company’s products are specifically used to meet the needs of the Russian Federation’s armed forces.
Furthermore, analysis of additional data has confirmed the shutdown of Zapsibneftekhim LLC in Tobolsk, Tyumen Oblast, following the destruction of Central Gas Fractionation Unit No. 1 on August 10.
Furthermore, it has been confirmed that on August 11, the hydrocracking unit, the ELOU-AVT-3 and ELOU-AVT-6 primary oil refining units, ELOU-AT, and the 22-4M5 secondary distillation unit for light petroleum fractions at PJSC “Orsknefteorgsintez” in Orsk.
As a reminder, on the night of August 16, the Ukrainian Navy struck the launch positions and deployment site of the Russian “Bastion” in occupied Crimea.
