A Drone And A Fighter Jet Were Flying Over Zhlobin

The city's residents heard a distinctive rumble.

On the evening of August 25, residents of Zhlobin heard an unusually loud noise and speculated that a jet-powered drone was flying over the city. Reports of this appeared on social media, the publication “Flagstok”.

At around 5:00 p.m., residents of various parts of Zhlobin—in the Lebedevka area, Microdistrict 16, the village of Rabochy, and the Zapadny Microdistrict—reported a humming sound similar to that of a drone. According to them, they were unable to make out the aircraft itself due to low clouds.

Some residents also reported seeing a fighter jet flying low that same evening. It was spotted over the workshops of the Belarusian Metallurgical Plant and in the center of Zhlobin. According to one report, at approximately the same time, the fighter jet was also circling over Svetlogorsk.

Around 5:00 p.m., Ukrainian monitoring channels also reported military aviation activity in eastern Belarus. Specifically, it was reported that three Su-30 fighter jets had taken to the air.

Meanwhile, as early as the morning of August 25, groups of Russian jet drones were detected over the Chernihiv region of Ukraine. At around 2:40 p.m., six groups were moving along a previously known trajectory from east to west along the Belarusian-Ukrainian border.
