On the night of August 27, the Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked military and strategic facilities in the Republic of Bashkortostan , which is part of Russia. This was reported by Dialog.UA after monitoring social media and messaging apps.
A drone and missile alert was issued in Bashkortostan on August 27 at approximately 4:42 a.m. Moscow time. Flights at Ufa Airport were also temporarily suspended.
Shortly thereafter, residents of Ufa and Sterlitamak heard the first explosions (Bashkir news channels on messaging apps refer to them as “booms”—Ed.).
As of 7:07 a.m. Minsk time, the missile alert had been lifted in this Russian region, while the drone alert remained in effect.
The video was posted by the Telegram channel Exilenova+. Residents of Ufa claim that Ukrainian missiles and drones attacked the city’s northern industrial zone (where “explosions” were heard).
In addition, explosions were heard in Sterlitamak as well. Ufa and Sterlitamak are the two largest cities in Bashkortostan. Numerous Russian military and strategic facilities are located there.
Ukrainian defense forces have previously carried out repeated strikes on targets in these cities. For example, Ukrainian UAVs have “visited” the Ufa Oil Refinery Complex operated by Rosneft, which comprises three refineries, on several occasions.
