A Diplomat Revealed An Unexpected Aspect Of The CIA Director's Visit To Moscow

The expert rejected all previously voiced assumptions.

John Ratcliffe flew to Moscow on a military plane because the C-17 was equipped with anti-missile systems—which is important when visiting a country at war, explained Valery Chaly, Ukraine’s former ambassador to the U.S.

The diplomat also suggested that the CIA director brought a message from Trump to Putin. The former Ukrainian ambassador to the U.S. shared his views on the CIA director’s visit to Moscow on the air at Radio NV on YouTube.

Chaly shed light on the purpose of Ratcliffe’s visit to Russia: “From what I can say, they’ve done a very good job of keeping the content of the conversations under wraps—not the visit itself. I’m very surprised when experts come up with theories about the visit itself. I have nothing to add to that. I’ll just tell you that C-17s usually fly to areas where there’s an elevated missile threat because they have missile defense and all that. What’s so hard to understand about that? Some people said they were transporting a vehicle there; others said they were transporting tanks. The CIA director simply used the plane—one he didn’t choose himself. They decided it would be safer that way in the conflict zone.”

“You can speculate all you want, but so far we have a 95% mix of cover-ups regarding the meeting’s content and lies—both about the participants’ composition and the substance of the conversations. There’s hardly any question of agreements here, because, as a rule, the CIA director carries out missions to convey information directly from the presidents, and to make the flight, specific justifications are needed, since they have a nuclear threat warning system, and the communication channel between the intelligence agencies in Washington and Moscow operates continuously,” the diplomat concluded.
