Why panic broke out among Russian officers.

The Russian Ministry of Defense has distributed instructions to military personnel and civilian staff containing recommendations on how to respond to a potential assassination attempt. The document instructs them to grow beards and stop using cars.

Why has such panic broken out among the Russian military? The website Charter97.org spoke with retired Ukrainian Armed Forces Colonel, military expert, and flight instructor Roman Svitan about this:
— Operation “Liquidation,” being carried out by Ukrainian special services, is currently in the active phase of eliminating the top echelon of the Russian leadership. Since it will eventually extend to mid-level officials and then to lower-level operatives, the Russians are now trying to downplay this negative situation, unable to counter it. But they will be unable to protect virtually anyone except VIPs.

They are now trying to spread the blame across as many people as possible, effectively sacrificing the safety of every individual.

— An explosion at the wedding of the daughter of Alexander Chaiko, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces. How effective are such attacks?

— It’s unclear whose work this is, whose initiative, so to speak. Because it was carried out against the military leadership, which is responsible, among other things, for significant financial flows (in the hundreds of billions of rubles), and the Aerospace Forces are a major issue. Perhaps this isn’t the work of Ukrainian intelligence services.

It could be the work of rivals, the “Kremlin towers,” as they’re called. Within a single “tower,” there’s intense infighting. And let’s not forget that these individuals have been involved in terrorist attacks not only in Ukraine. In Syria, in the Caucasus. In other words, there are a great many forces that will try to avenge their slain relatives.
We can only say that it was specifically our own Ukrainian intelligence services after they admit to it. There are many parties interested in sending the families of virtually all these Russian military leaders to the afterlife. At the very least, in the news cycle, this damages Russia’s image—I’ll even go so far as to say its political, geopolitical, and domestic image as well. It fuels the hysteria that has recently been sweeping across Russia. It’s in Ukraine’s interest if even some of their own people are undermining them. In principle, we’re all for that.
